It’s perfectly normal to feel anxious when starting postsecondary education. That is why Centennial College introduced its award-winning pre-orientation program, START Smart. The START Smart program for the winter semester is scheduled to take place the week of December 12 - 18. All students are welcome, but we find START Smart is especially helpful for those who are nervous, anxious, worried about starting college and/or fitting into the college environment.
We will provide updates on START Smart on our website soon, as they become available. You can register for START Smart using the Experience Centennial (EC) App. The EC App can be downloaded for free from Google Play or the Apple App Store. Once downloaded, you simply need to log into the app using your myCentennial sign on credentials and complete the initial brief profile questionnaire to create your account. You can find START Smart among many other events, including Experience Centennial: Orientation, available for registration. For more information about the EC App, please visit Experience Centennial App.
Experience Centennial: Orientation is a two-day event that facilitates transitions into (and back to) the College with a focus on student exploration and holistic development. Participating students will make meaningful connections to the Centennial College community and have access to resources for academic, personal and professional success. Experience Centennial: Orientation includes Welcome Sessions, Program Information Sessions, Community Building and Social programs, as well as Student Panels that address commonly asked questions.
Experience Centennial: Orientation for Winter 2021 will take place January 5 - 14. For more information, visit Experience Centennial: Orientation and view our videos.
We know that, as students, things are busy and it can seem impossible to find the time to get involved outside of class – Experience Centennial is here to help! We want to ensure you have the opportunity to experience everything Centennial College has to offer. That why you should make sure you get the Experience Centennial App, the official student engagement platform that shows Centennial College students everything going on at the College. If you are looking for an event, specific resources or searching for community, the EC App is definitely for you.
