Application Scholarships and Awards
Application Scholarships and Awards
Unlike OSAP, scholarships are money that you do not have to repay. Scholarships are funds donated by individuals or organizations to assist you with the financial challenges of post-secondary studies. These donors are investing in your future career, so make sure to complete an application for those scholarships to which you are eligible to apply.

The first step is to complete the Doorway to Dollars Questionnaire on the myCentennial website. Our student information system will use this questionnaire to match the scholarships that are a good fit for you and give to access to apply for them. We will also give you an email notification at your myCentennial account with the start dates. Students who receive an invitation will be able to apply for the respective scholarships on the myCentennial website by following the instructions on the email.

Yes. Many of our scholarships are available for all students regardless of residency status. Some scholarships are not available for international students, while some are for international students only.

Many of our scholarships would like additional information about you. Please submit any requested documentation to: financialaidquestions@centennialcollege.ca
Our office will aim to have the decision for every application scholarship by December of the same year. We have a high number of scholarships to decide for every year resulting in this timeframe. Students will be notified as soon as a recipient is selected.
Students are notified via their myCentennial email within 24-hours of being selected as the recipient of an academic scholarship or award.
Normally, we hold an event in the Fall and Winter term called the ‘Student Awards Night Event’. This event was created to celebrate student success and present our recipients with their scholarship certificates and cheques. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have opted to direct deposit these funds to our students’ respective bank accounts once a recipient has been decided. If there is no banking information on your student profile, we will mail a cheque to your address. Certificates will also be mailed to students’ addresses. Details will be listed once you have been awarded a scholarship.
Yes. Students will receive a T4A for any scholarships received.
